Korea has some fun options for both. For traditional Korean archery (국궁, gukgung), which uses a distinctive horn bow, you can try it at ranges called 활터 or 정 around the country, and some cultural venues and folk villages run beginner experience sessions, with a few 국궁장 welcoming walk-ins for a short lesson. Modern archery has also become a trendy casual activity, with 'archery cafes' (양궁카페) popping up in Seoul and other cities where you shoot at targets by the hour, usually paying somewhere around 15,000 to 25,000 won; search 양궁카페 on Naver Map to find one nearby.

For shooting, keep in mind Korea has very strict gun control and private firearm ownership is essentially not allowed, so there is no casual live-fire range culture like in some countries. What you will find instead are recreational options such as indoor screen shooting, air-gun and airsoft or survival-game venues, and paintball parks. Competitive sport shooting exists but runs through licensed clubs and federations rather than drop-in ranges. So realistically, traditional 국궁 experiences and the newer archery cafes are the most accessible ways to scratch that itch, and both are beginner-friendly and easy to book.
