How can I apply for a student locker at a Korean university and check when it must be emptied?
I am an international student in Busan and carry heavy textbooks between classes on different parts of campus. I would like to use a student locker but do not know whether applications go through the department office or a student association. Where should I check eligibility, application dates, and the deadline for removing my belongings?

Start with the office responsible for the building where you want a locker. Ask your department office about department lockers, the library desk about library lockers, or Student Affairs about shared campus lockers. Ask each office who handles applications rather than assuming that the student association manages every locker. Your international office can help you find the right contact or understand a Korean notice.
Search your university’s official website and student portal for 사물함 신청, 사물함 배정, and 사물함 반납, adding the current semester and your building or department name. Check the current notice for eligibility, the application method, allocation rules, any fee or deposit, and the dates when you can use the locker. Do not use another university’s dates as your own deadline.
Before accepting a locker, ask for the exact deadline to empty it and return any key or lock. Also ask what happens to belongings left behind and whether you need to apply again next semester. Save the notice and set a reminder before the clearance deadline. You can send this question: “I am an international student in [department]. Who manages lockers in [building], how do I apply, and by what date must I remove my belongings and return the key?”
For a local example, Busan University of Foreign Studies has separate official notices for fall 2026 locker applications and spring 2026 locker returns. These are examples of the notices to look for, not rules for your university. Without your university and building, we cannot confirm your eligibility or deadline.
