Can foreigners use Korean food delivery apps? How do I order on Baemin?

Le Minh Tuan ·

I heard Korea has a great food delivery culture and I'd like to order in at home too. I'm wondering whether I can sign up and pay on apps like Baemin or Coupang Eats with just my ARC and a Korean phone number. I'd also like tips on minimum order amounts, delivery fees, and how to avoid confusion with the address or menu as a foreigner.

Yes — with your ARC, a Korean phone number, and a Korean card or account, you can sign up and pay on Baemin (배달의민족), Coupang Eats, or Yogiyo. When you add your address, enter the road-name address and unit details (building/unit number) accurately and add a request like leave it at the door, which makes things smoother. Each restaurant has a minimum order (often 12,000–15,000 won) plus a delivery fee, so ordering with others or choosing the saver/bundled delivery option cuts the fee. If the Korean menus are confusing, pick by photo or use a translation app — Baemin even has some English menus — so starting with photo-heavy restaurants is the easiest way in.
