Test structure
- TOPIK I covers levels 1–2 through listening and reading and takes about 100 minutes according to the source.
- TOPIK II covers levels 3–6 through listening, writing, and reading and takes about 180 minutes according to the source.
- Your level is based on score, so set a concrete score target rather than preparing only to “pass.”
How to study each area
Build vocabulary and grammar with level-based lists and past papers, then write your own example sentences for connectors and advanced structures. For listening, use news, announcements, and everyday dialogue while practicing questions about the speaker's purpose and next action. For reading, combine scanning for required facts with skimming for each paragraph's main idea. TOPIK II candidates should also write timed answers and obtain corrections.
A practical routine
