There are many job sites; there are far fewer where listings you can actually apply for as a foreigner appear. These five do different jobs, and it is worth using them together.
Five sites, five different uses
- Saramin (saramin.co.kr) — the largest in Korea, with some English listings mixed in
- JobKorea (jobkorea.co.kr) — widely used by Korean employers
- LinkedIn — strongest for international companies in Korea
- WorknPlay (worknplay.co.kr) — built specifically for foreigners
- Seoul Global Center — free job matching
The first three carry volume but mix in roles your status cannot take. The last two carry less but assume foreign hiring from the start.
What decides the resume
- Korean employers often expect a photo on the resume
- State your visa status — leaving it out can take you out of the review
- A TOPIK level is a significant plus
- Match the format and phrasing to Korean business convention
