Seoul has a surprisingly active professional scene for foreigners. The Seoul Global Center hosts regular networking events specifically for international professionals, and they often have industry-specific sessions covering tech, finance, and entrepreneurship.
For tech and startups, look into Startup Alliance Korea, D.CAMP events in Gangnam, and Google for Startups Campus Seoul. They host pitch nights, demo days, and meetups that mix Korean founders with international talent. The Tech in Asia and SeoulSpace communities also run regular gatherings.
Industry-wise, the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM Korea), European Chamber, and British Chamber all hold monthly mixers and topical seminars. Membership is paid but they often allow guests for first events. KOTRA also runs programs for foreign professionals in Korea.
For casual networking, Meetup.com is still very active in Seoul with groups like Seoul Startups, Seoul Marketing, and Foreign Professionals in Korea. LinkedIn local events are another underused channel, search Seoul events and filter by industry.
