How can I check where to board a Korean university shuttle bus and whether it runs on weekends?
If an international student in Chuncheon wants to take a university shuttle from the railway station to campus, where should they look for the current timetable and the exact boarding point? How can they check whether the service runs on weekends and during university holidays? Should they ask the university transport office whether a student card or advance booking is needed?

Check your own university's official website for the current semester's shuttle or transport notice. Search for 셔틀버스, 통학버스 and the station name, and check the notice date, campus, direction of travel and any attached timetable or boarding-point map. Ask the transport office or international office to confirm the station exit, road side and a map pin if the notice does not make the stop clear. Do not assume that an on-campus circular bus also serves the railway station.
For example, Kangwon National University's official Chuncheon page currently describes the Duri on-campus circular bus for the second semester of 2026. It lists regular-semester operation from 1 September to 21 December, Monday to Friday, excluding weekends, public holidays including substitute holidays, and official class-suspension days. Its listed route connects campus stops; it does not establish a railway-station pickup service. This is an example for that university and service, not a timetable for every university in Chuncheon.
For a station-to-campus shuttle, ask the university to confirm service on your exact travel date, including weekends, public holidays and vacation periods. Yes, ask whether you need a student card, whether a newly admitted international student without a card can board, and whether advance booking is required. The page checked here does not settle those requirements for a station shuttle. If the university cannot confirm that service, plan another way to campus rather than relying on an older student post.
