I am visiting Korea and need mobile data. Should I buy a SIM card or an eSIM? Where can I get one, how much does it cost, and what are my options for staying connected during my trip?

For a short trip an eSIM is the easiest if your phone supports it, since you can buy it online before arrival and activate on landing with no physical pickup. A prepaid SIM is just as good and you grab it at the Incheon Airport arrivals hall (KT, SKT, LG U+ booths) or at CU and GS25 convenience stores. Prices run roughly 30,000 to 55,000 won for around 30 days with data, and providers like Chingu Mobile and Korea SIM are foreigner-friendly. You'll need your passport to register.
