Jeonju Hanok Village puts sights, food and lodging within a 1 km radius, so the right order means never walking the same alley twice. On an overnight trip, the thing that sets the order is your bags and the check-in hour.
Put the bags down first
Hanok guesthouses generally check in around 3 to 4pm. Arrive earlier and most will store your luggage anyway. Go to the guesthouse first and leave the bags. That single detour decides how much of the first afternoon you actually enjoy.
Arrival day, in order
- Gyeonggijeon — 3,000 won, about 40 minutes
- Jeondong Cathedral — 50 m across from it, free
- The main village alley
Save the shopping for the next morning. Buy on day one and you carry it through everything else.
Eat dinner outside the village
Restaurants inside the village are expensive and the queues are long. Walk the 15 minutes out to the Gosa-dong makgeolli street instead.

The second morning
Do the shopping you postponed, and if there is time after checkout, add somewhere uncrowded — the hyanggyo beside Gyeonggijeon is a quiet way to finish.
