I need to furnish my apartment in Korea. What are my options? Is IKEA available here? I have heard about Hanssem but do not know anything about it. What about buying furniture online? How does delivery and assembly work?

When I furnished my place, I used a mix of options. IKEA is in Korea (stores in Gwangmyeong, Goyang, Giheung and more, plus online delivery), great for affordable basics, while Hanssem and iloom are popular Korean brands for higher-quality furniture with delivery and assembly included. For buying online, Coupang is fast and often offers free assembly on big items, and Today's House (오늘의집) is the app everyone uses for furniture and interior shopping with reviews and room photos. If you're on a budget, check the second-hand app Danggeun Market (Karrot) — people sell barely-used furniture cheaply, sometimes free if you can carry it yourself.
