- Ulthera, Shurink, Thermage — 2 to 5 days, 12 to 18 months
- Thread lifting — 5 to 10 days, 12 to 24 months
- Surgery on eyes, nose or jaw — 2 to 6 weeks, essentially permanent
What an international patient should check
Many clinics have coordinators working in English, Chinese or Japanese — ask when you book, not on the day. The Korea Tourism Organization's Medical Korea service lists accredited providers. Gangnam alone holds more than 500 specialist clinics, so accreditation is the practical filter.
Planning the dates
- Leave recovery time plus three days before your flight home
- Surgery needs a follow-up visit for stitches and review — check it falls inside your stay
- Ask whether the procedure restricts flying immediately afterwards
