Korea has a small but very active expat women's community, especially in Seoul. The biggest is Seoul International Women's Association (SIWA, siwapage.com), founded in 1962, with monthly meetings, charity work, hobby groups, and family events. AWC (American Women's Club Korea) is similarly long-running with bilingual events. International Women in Korea Facebook group (35,000+ members) is the most active daily forum for everything from doctor recommendations to playdates to job leads.
For professional networking, Lean In Seoul, Women in Tech Korea, and Women Empowered (W.E.) host monthly events at coworking spaces in Gangnam and Seongsu. PWN Korea (Professional Women's Network) covers finance, consulting, and entrepreneurship. For working moms, Seoul Mama Network has neighborhood subgroups in Hannam, Yongsan, Itaewon, Ichon, Mokdong, and Gangnam.
Outside Seoul, Busan International Foreigners Association has active women's events. Daegu and Incheon have smaller but welcoming international clubs. For mental health and support, Adaptable Human Solutions in Itaewon offers women's circles and trauma support. Korean Women's Hotline (한국여성의전화, 02-2263-6464) has English support for crisis cases. Marriage migrant women have dedicated multicultural family centers (다문화가족지원센터) in every district with free parenting classes, Korean lessons, and cash assistance. Religious-affiliated groups like St. Andrew's Anglican Church Hannam and the Yongsan Catholic English Mass also have strong women's communities. Pick 2 or 3 to try and see what fits.
