I'm being stalked and harassed?
I'm being stalked and harassed. I'm going to the police station to file a report. What should I bring and how can I prepare?

I'm really sorry you're going through this. Here's what you can do right away.
First, document everything. Save screenshots of messages, photos of the person if you have them, and write down dates and times of incidents. This evidence will be important.
Report to the police
Go to your nearest police station (경찰서) and file a stalking report. Since 2021, Korea has the Stalking Punishment Act (스토킹처벌법), so stalking is a criminal offense. You can also call 112 for emergencies. If you're not confident in Korean, call 1345 (Korea Immigration Contact Center) first and they can help you communicate with police or even do a three-way call.
Get a protective order
When you file the report, ask the police about requesting an emergency protective measure (긴급응급조치). This can legally prohibit the stalker from contacting you or coming near you.
