I live in Korea and want to visit Jeju Island for a long weekend. How do I plan an affordable trip, and what are the must-see spots as a foreign resident?

Jeju is a great long weekend trip and very easy to plan on a budget. Flights from Gimpo Airport take about an hour and you can find round trips for 50,000 to 100,000 won if you book a couple weeks ahead on apps like Naver Flight or Skyscanner. Jeju Air and T-way often have the cheapest fares. No passport needed since Jeju is domestic.
For getting around, renting a car is the most convenient option and costs about 30,000 to 50,000 won per day through apps like Jeju Pass or Socar. If you do not drive, the airport limousine buses and local buses cover most tourist areas. Must-see spots include Hallasan Mountain for a challenging but rewarding hike, Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) for the iconic crater views, and Manjanggul Lava Tube which is a UNESCO site. For beaches, Hyeopjae and Hamdeok are beautiful with clear water. The Olle Trail walking routes are perfect if you enjoy coastal walks. Budget accommodations on Airbnb or through Yanolja run about 40,000 to 70,000 won per night. For food, try Jeju black pork barbecue and fresh seafood at the local markets.
