I sold shoes on 당근마켓 with full descriptions and photos, but the buyer is now complaining and asking for receipts. What should I do? Has anyone dealt with disputes on Karrot Market?

This is a common issue on Danggeun Market, and you're in a strong position if you provided accurate descriptions and photos. Here's what to do:

Your rights as a seller: Danggeun Market is a peer-to-peer platform. Once a transaction is completed in person, you have no legal obligation to provide refunds or receipts. If your listing accurately described the item's condition and the buyer inspected it before purchasing, you've done your part. Private sellers in Korea are not required to issue receipts.

How to respond: Reply politely but firmly: "I provided full descriptions and photos, and you had the opportunity to inspect the shoes before purchasing. I'm unable to provide a receipt as this was a private sale.". Save screenshots of your original listing and all chat messages as evidence. Do not agree to a return unless you genuinely feel the complaint is valid.

If the buyer becomes aggressive: Use the "Report" function in the Danggeun Market app. If they send threatening messages, you can report it to the police. Block them if the messages become harassing. Never share additional personal information (address, bank details)

Prevention for future sales: Always note any flaws clearly in your listing. Take detailed photos from multiple angles. Meet in a public place for the exchange. Press "Transaction Complete" in the app right after the sale.
