Beyond academic hagwons, Korea has a huge range of extracurriculars for kids — taekwondo dojangs (very popular and great for discipline and Korean friends), art, piano and music academies, swimming, soccer, ballet, coding, and robotics classes are everywhere in residential areas. Many neighborhoods also have cheap or free public options through community centers (주민센터), youth centers (청소년수련관), and local libraries. The easiest way in is to ask other parents or search Naver Map for your district, and taekwondo or swimming is often the smoothest first step since many academies run shuttle buses and welcome beginners regardless of Korean level.
